what is a pressure washer and how does it work?

A pressure washer, also called a pressure washer, is a cleaning machine that works by means of a pump that sucks in water and expels it through jets of water under high pressure through the hose. These pumps are driven by an electric or combustion engine. These machines are divided into battery-powered pressure washers, electric pressure washers, gasoline pressure washers and industrial pressure washers.

There are different powers and sizes according to what the user is looking for at all times. In fact, there are two types of pressure washers according to the water they use, those that work with hot water and those that work with cold water. The choice of water type will depend on the surface to be used.

Gasoline pressure washers: These are machines that, as their name suggests, are powered by a gasoline engine, normally a 4-stroke engine, and are the most suitable for use as professional pressure washers since they are capable of obtaining a much greater water flow than their electric counterpart.

Battery or electric pressure washers: These machines are perfect for domestic or semi-professional users as they are much more economical and easier to maintain as they are equipped with an electric motor that requires little maintenance. The flow rate of these machines as well as their noise level is much lower.

which pressure washer should I buy?

Once we know what types exist, it is time to know what is the price range of each type. As we know that there is no ideal pressure washer model, from Intermaquinas we will show you the prices based on recent recommendations to our customers.

Hidrolimpiadoras

Those we recommend for the home user, the price ranges from 115 € to 300 €. They are usually quality/price machines that for a small garden or patios and terraces are more than enough. They are the cheapest pressure washers in the catalog.

We also have a range for users a little more demanding or semi-professional which increases its price and goes from 300 € to 500 €. These machines are designed to be more powerful and of higher quality than those described above.

Finally we have the high end for professional users. This varies from 500 to over 1300 € depending on what you are looking for from the machine. As an example, one with an electric motor will have a lower cost than a gasoline one.

It should be mentioned that there are industrial pressure washers that, as their name suggests, are designed to withstand long working days and always with maximum efficiency. These are usually used by large institutions such as municipalities and large companies for cleaning maintenance.

Buy High Pressure Cleaner

The model that we recommend the most for the domestic user is the Anova H1800 which has an electric motor power of 3kW. This allows the water pump to exert a water pressure of up to 180 bar. The flow rate of this pressurized water machine is 8.7 liters per minute. It has an adjustable nozzle and an 8-meter reinforced roll-up hose.

If you are looking for a more powerful pressure washer, then we recommend the Anova HG3000 which has a 4T 7HP gasoline engine. This engine makes the water pump capable of delivering a pressure of up to 207 bar. It also has a 7 meter long hose and comes with a flow rate of 8.7 liters per minute plus a steel pressure gun included.

Finally, if you are looking for something more industrial, then we recommend the Hyundai HYW4000P which has a maximum flow rate of 15 liters per hour. All this, together with a powerful 14 hp Hyundai IC425 motor, means that the ANNOVI REVERBERI water pump delivers a pressure of up to 270 bar.
