Olive pickers

An olive picker is a manual tool used to efficiently pick olives from the ground. It consists of a cylinder with tines on its surface that allows the olives to be caught and collected as the roller moves over the ground. The olive picker is used by passing it over the olives fallen on the ground. As you move forward, the olives come off the ground and accumulate on the roller, which in turn are deposited in the basket.

  • Portable and lightweight design: olive harvesters are usually hand tools that are compact in size and light in weight, making them easy to transport and handle.
  • Efficient harvesting: The tines of the roller allow the olives to be effectively caught as it rolls on the ground, which speeds up the picking process compared to manual picking.
  • Versatility: These pickers are suitable for uneven terrain and small plantations where access with larger machinery can be difficult.
  • Time and effort savings: By using an olive picker, the time and effort required to pick olives from the ground is reduced compared to manual harvesting

It should be noted that the olive picker is effective for picking ripe olives that have already fallen to the ground. It is not suitable for direct harvesting of olives from trees.
