The Motosegadoras Bertolini 401S has a Honda GX160 gasoline engine that provides a power of 4.9HP-3.6KW. This model of mower also has 2 gear changes which are 1 forward and 1 reverse.

The mower Bertolini 401 S also has an independent power take-off. It has a safety device that blocks the insertion of the reverse gear when the T.d.F is in operation.

It also includes a 95 cm SP bar, adjustable cutting skids and 4.00-8″ wheels. This mower is designed for demanding individuals.

It is ideal for field cleanup and mowing grass and forage. The handlebar, with vertical and horizontal adjustment, and the QuickFit system, facilitate the tasks. It also offers a dry disc clutch.

This mower is available with two different heads:

  • Eccentric motion head: it has a simpler design and lower manufacturing and maintenance cost in comparison. It has a good overall performance in most tasks.
  • Oil-bathed bar motion head: Generates a smooth and continuous rotary motion, reduces vibration and noise. Being oil bathed, the oil acts as a lubricant, prolonging the life of the oil by reducing wear and tear.

Difference between the oil bath clutch of other brands and the multi-disc dry clutch from Bertolini

Oil immersed clutch brake (Other brands) Disadvantages

  • Hydraulic due to the use of oil.
  • When the machine fills with debris it is more prone to failure.
  • Practical and functional with good maintenance when needed.
  • First time use requires an oil change in a maximum of 40 hours.
  • The engine has a small oil pump which communicates with the clutch device and lubricates it and makes it work. When this oil is full of debris, the system will stop working and start to fail.
  • In the case of poor maintenance the machine starts to fail. The warranty does not cover the damage so it will be necessary to take it to the workshop and have it done by a professional.
  • In certain points of the machine there could be oil leaks.

Multi-disc dry clutch Bertolini

  • Simpler and more mechanical system and the clutch with brake and a force multiplication system without DHS.
  • This machine is less prone to failures

It is mandatory for the customer to check oil and grease levels before start-up !

If it is not possible to check the goods at the time of receipt, it must be indicated on the carrier's sheet that the customer is satisfied unless an examination is pending.
